      D&A stands for Dilip Thacker and Amit Thacker. Individually accomplished leaders, with a combined, prominent real estate presence spanning over five decades.
      The company's lineage traces back three generations to the 1950s, when the late Ramanlal Thacker founded the Thacker business empire, catering to the Shipping Corporation of India and Scindia Steam Navigation Company, diversifying into hospitality with The Ritz in Pune, and The Rugby in Matheran.
      The 1970s and 1980s saw Dilip Thacker foray into real estate development in Pune. Amit Thacker later joined this journey, helping expand the business through new collaborations, verticals and scale. Together, they delivered the iconic Imperial Towers in Mumbai, developed in partnership with the 150-year-old Shapoorji Pallonji Group, which remain the city’s tallest residential towers more than a decade after completion.
      D&A Realty was established as an independent brand in 2021, bringing a global, future-focused outlook to this legacy of expertise. Today, the company specialises in boutique luxury developments across Mumbai’s most robust micro-markets, creating high-value residences defined by thoughtful design, disciplined execution and long-term relevance.

      The mid 1990s saw Dilip Thacker expand his real estate prowess with admirable projects like the 38-storey Suraj Millennium. Followed by the ambitious redevelopment of the encroached MP Mill Compound.

      Foreseeing its potential, this visionary established a joint venture with Shapoorji Pallonji & Co. This turning point was in fact, the formation of SD Corporation which changed Mumbai’s skyline with the exemplary Imperial Towers.

      The multi-faceted Dilip Thacker is also responsible for pioneering disposable saline bottles, and the 'Tetrapak' technology in India, along with fortifying the Thacker hospitality arm.
